How to play

A 3D arrow cube game in your browser

Most 3D arrow puzzles are phone apps. This one plays online on PC, Mac, Chromebook, tablet or phone, with nothing to install. The 300 levels are the opening levels of 3D Arrow Jam Go, our 3D arrow puzzle: every cube is generated to be solvable, and the whole challenge is spotting which arrow has to leave first when half of the board is on the other side. Prefer a flat board? Play the 2D arrow puzzle online or the daily arrow puzzle. Comparing 3D arrow games? See our guide to 3D arrow puzzles.

How to solve a 3D arrow puzzle

A cube hides half of its arrows at any moment, so the skill is less about spotting one free arrow and more about knowing where to look next. These habits help:

  1. Read one face at a time.An arrow only cares about its own face: the cells in front of its head, up to that face's edge. Arrows on the other faces cannot block it.
  2. Start near the edges. Heads that sit close to an edge and point at it have the shortest run to clear, so they are free most often.
  3. Trace long arrows over the edges. Long arrows wrap from one face onto the next, so one arrow can sit across two or three faces. Clearing it can free cells on all of them.
  4. Turn before you tap. When the visible faces look stuck, rotate a quarter turn — the next free arrow is usually on a face you were not looking at.
  5. Spend stars carefully. Each arrow costs a star only on its first bump, and three bumps restart the level. Tap Hint to flash arrows that can fly right now.

Cubes, boxes and odd shapes

Most levels are cubes that grow from 5×5×5 to large blocks with well over a hundred arrows. Roughly every fourth level breaks the pattern with a box or a blocky shape: an L, a staircase, a T, an arch, a plus sign, a tower, a picture frame or a heart. Shapes have inner corners, so an arrow running along the floor can meet a wall; its head still flies straight off its own face. Levels marked HARD and SUPER HARD pack in more arrows and longer chains of arrows waiting on each other.

3D arrow puzzle vs the flat version

The rule is the same as the classic flat arrow puzzle — an arrow leaves only if its path is clear — but the cube adds memory and rotation. On a flat board you see every arrow at once; on a cube you have to remember what is on the far side and turn to check. If you are new to arrow puzzles, a few flat boards on the 2D arrow puzzle are the quickest way to learn the rule, and the cube is the next step up.

FAQ

Is this 3D arrow puzzle free? Yes. The 3D arrow puzzle on this page is free, with no ads, no download and no account. Your progress is saved in your browser.

How do you play a 3D arrow puzzle? Drag to turn the cube and tap an arrow to send it off. An arrow flies straight along its own face to the edge, so only arrows on that face, in front of its head, can block it. Long arrows can wrap over the edges of the cube, but the head never turns a corner. Clear every arrow to finish the level.

Can I play the arrow cube game on PC? Yes. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad and Android. On a computer, drag with the mouse to rotate and click arrows; on a phone, swipe to rotate and pinch to zoom.

How many levels are there? 300 levels, from a 5×5×5 warm-up cube with 8 arrows to boxes with more than 150 arrows. Every fourth level or so is a box or a blocky shape — an L, steps, an arch, a tower, a frame or even a heart — and HARD and SUPER HARD levels come up regularly.

What happens when an arrow hits another arrow? It bounces back and you lose a star — but only the first time that arrow bumps. After three stars the level starts again. Tap Hint to flash arrows that can escape right now.

Do arrows wrap around the cube? Their bodies do: a long arrow can bend over an edge and lie across two or three faces. Its head never turns a corner, though — when you tap it, it flies straight along its own face and off the edge.

What are HARD and SUPER HARD levels? They are the difficulty spikes: bigger cubes and boxes with more arrows and longer chains of arrows blocking each other. They come up regularly between easier levels, so a hard cube is usually followed by a breather.

Is there a 3D Arrow Jam Go app? Yes. 3D Arrow Jam Go: Cube Puzzle is on Google Play for Android, with thousands of levels, a daily 3D puzzle and Nightmare mode. The 300 levels on this page are its opening levels.

What is the best 3D arrow game? On phones, Tap Away 3D and CubeAway are the best-known 3D tap-away puzzles; we compare them and others in our guide to 3D arrow puzzle games. If you want one you can play right now without installing anything, it is the cube above.
